What is local citation building?
A citation is any online mention of your business name, address and phone number. Inconsistent details tell search engines you may not be what you claim. Fixing them is less like pressing an accelerator and more like releasing a handbrake.
Many listings were created without you, because directories copy data from aggregators. An old address on one source can spread across dozens of sites. That is why the work starts with an audit of what already exists, including duplicates and abandoned profiles.
