Short answer

  • The right alternative depends on why you're looking. Approval rights, price, management and policy risk point to different providers.
  • Need to approve sites first? Loganix describes a shortlist you approve before placement.[1]
  • Want similar self-serve ordering? Rhino Rank (guest posts from $75/post) and The HOTH (Link Outreach from a promotional $75) publish comparable entry prices.[2][3]
  • Want someone to run the whole campaign? Managed providers such as uSERP work on longer engagements, six months with a 60-day opt-out in uSERP's case.[4]

FATJOE is a popular choice for per-placement guest posts and niche edits, especially among agencies. It isn't the right fit for every buyer, and “FATJOE alternatives” lists often just rank a handful of names. This page groups alternatives by the reason you might be looking, using each provider's own published terms, checked on 30 October 2026. For the full picture of FATJOE itself, read our FATJOE review.

Why people look for alternatives

  • Control: FATJOE states that placements can't be pre-approved.[5]
  • Strategy: per-placement buying leaves target pages, volumes and anchors to you.
  • Price or format: different tiers, bundles or units may suit a budget better.
  • Policy concerns: FATJOE advertises followed paid links; some buyers prefer earned coverage.
  • Diversification: agencies often keep a second supplier tested and ready.

Guest-post-type products only, so the units are as comparable as the providers' pages allow. “Not publicly confirmed” means the page didn't say, not that the provider doesn't offer it.

If you need to approve sites: Loganix

Loganix describes sending a shortlist of sites for you to approve, with turnaround “usually 3 weeks from the date you approve your site selections”. It says it replaces rejected links “with an equal or better opportunity at no cost.”[1]For niche edits it lists an “approval decision before placement”.[6]

The trade-offs: higher entry prices (guest posts from $200, “Authority Links” from $400), and Loganix doesn't accept client-supplied content. For the detail, see FATJOE vs Loganix.

If you want similar self-serve ordering: Rhino Rank or The HOTH

Rhino Rank lists guest posts from $75 per post (750+ word articles) and curated links from $60 per link. It offers a first-order refund of up to $550 and mentions 12-month replacement cover in its managed-service section. Its homepage didn't state turnaround or whether you can approve sites.[2] See FATJOE vs Rhino Rank.

The HOTH's Link Outreach ranges from a promotional $75 to $375, with articles of 500–2,000 words, about 30 days' turnaround, and no approval before posting. It lists excluded niches including adult, pharma and gambling.[3] See FATJOE vs The HOTH.

If you want a managed campaign

Managed providers decide what to build and report against goals. uSERP, for example, describes six-month engagements with a 60-day opt-out, and its FAQ cites a market range of $5,000–$25,000+ per month for managed link building. Its pricing page returned a 404 when we checked, so no package prices are confirmed.[4]

Managed services suit teams without in-house link expertise. Check what you'll see each month, and whether you keep the records if you leave. Our outsourcing guide covers this.

If you like FATJOE but want bundles

FATJOE's own Grow packages bundle guest posts and niche edits at fixed prices per campaign. Grow is explicitly “not a fully managed SEO service”, and the page says there's no customisation.[7]

If you want to avoid paid links

Google's spam policies treat paid links that pass ranking credit as link spam, unless they're qualified with sponsored or nofollow.[8]If that risk matters to you, the alternative isn't another placement vendor. It's earned coverage: digital PR, original data, partnerships and genuinely useful resources. See buying backlinks: what Google's policies say.

Where DotMirror fits

Switching providers safely

  1. Export your records from your current provider: every live URL, anchor, target and date.
  2. Check existing placements are still live before any replacement window closes.
  3. Send the new provider your domain list, so they avoid sites you already have links on.
  4. Start with a small test order and check it thoroughly.
  5. Overlap briefly if you're an agency, so client delivery doesn't stall.
